Why do we need a new playground?
Simple answer...
The playground is about to reach its expiry date.

Not-so-simple answer...
Playground equipment has an expiry date set by manufacturers and insurance companies to ensure (and insure!) its safety. Most of the current equipment in Lendrum Ecole/School's playground is scheduled for removal by the City of Edmonton in 2026 because that's the expiry date.
Much to our community's dismay, school playgrounds are not considered "essential infrastructure" therefore not funded by either the City of Edmonton or the Edmonton Public School Board.
This means that if we want Lendrum Ecole/School to have a playground, we'll have to build it ourselves. Not actually build it, but fundraise enough money to have it built by professional playground builders.
